One represents the dedicated distillery workers of 1940, while another symbolizes the hand of former chairman Allan Shiach, whose grandfather headed The Macallan when this spirit was first consigned to its cask. The third and final hand represents Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell, who selected the special cask used to create The Reach, and who decided that now was the time to release this exquisite spirit.

The decanter rests within a cabinet crafted from a tree that fell on The Macallan Estate in 1940, the same year the spirit was distilled.
